- Missed calls: missed calls per day × your days open × 4.3 weeks × 30% who would have booked × your average spend. Published call studies report 64–70% of restaurant calls lead to a booking or order (Maple, Revmo), so 30% is deliberately conservative.
- Lost customers: first-time visitors per month (based on your percentage) × 60% who don't return × 10% won back with automated follow-up × your average spend. Studies report 70–85% of first-time guests never return (Bloom Intelligence, Restroworks), and that follow-up campaigns can lift return rates substantially (Toast, DataDelivers). Again, we use the lower end.
- Review gap: 97% of consumers read reviews for local businesses (BrightLocal, 2026). We assume up to 5% of your potential monthly customers choose a competitor with more reviews, scaled by the size of the gap. This 5% is our own assumption, not a published figure.
